I  randomly encountered hundreds of passport photos taken at Kibbutz Mesillot, the place where I grew up. I sought to decipher what I saw and penetrate through the anonymity of those photographed. The private interviews with some kibbutz members created new testimony about the characters appearing in the photographs. Their reflection through the eyes of others, the life stories told through the community in which they grew up, gave a renewed look at an incidental, generic portraits taken by the kibbutz member: Hank Nave-Oz.
